Students will be required to submit a written paper for the final examination. This will be in the form of an APA style formatted document, 5 pages in length,
not including the required Title Page and Reference Page. The student will identify and discuss what they believe are the 5 most significant developments in
criminal investigation techniques/procedures over the past 200 years. These techniques/procedures are discussed in the textbook. Students will use
examples from criminal cases to support their views. The paper should discuss the principles as noted in the readings and class discussions. The paper
should use examples to support the perspectives presented in the paper. The paper is only 5 pages so the content should be specific, succinct and to the
point. Textbook is: Criminal Investigation 10th Edition by Christine Hess Orthmann and Karen Matison Hess
