Discuss your practicum experiences in relation to Antibiotic Stewardship. Without identifying a clinic or provider, describe the Antibiotic Stewardship efforts or lack of that you have witnessed in your practicum setting. You can also discuss what you see in your workplace. Are your experiences aligned with the stewardship guidance? If not, what would you do differently? Give an example of a positive or negative case.

Instructions:

1. Submit a minimum of one entry every week.

Address the topic provided during the period of March 1-25th.
From Mar. 25th. through the end of the blogging period, you will continue to engage in sharing practicum experiences that will spark learning. Discuss unusual, frustrating, concerning, funny, or scary events in the clinic, or any case (adhering to HIPPA) that you saw in the clinic. You can also provide instances when you saw your preceptor handle a delicate or inflammatory situation and how you thought it was handled or if you think you might have done something differently. This is not a critique of your preceptor. There will be patients who are challenging and we don’t all handle these patients the same way and some days are just better than others. Some days the patience of the provider is just too thin to engage in lengthy explanations to a patient who is determined that you are wrong and is not likely to be convinced otherwise, so you just move on and hope that the next encounter with that patient will be more productive.
2. Respond to a minimum of two classmates every week.

3. Consider supporting your discussion with reliable sources if your position or argument is to be credible.

4. List your sources in APA 7th ed.
