Building UAE’s First Satellite Cleanroom Facility at Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).

You MUST submit your answers in the form of typed REPORT (3300 words).

In general, it is suggested that your Report may be organized into the following sections:

Cover page

Title page – clear indication of topic, your name, course, purpose, date (approx.), etc.
Contents page – your work must be paginated
Abstract/Summary – give a brief summary of your work including major achievements
1. Introduction – clear introduction of the subject of your work
2. Background/Literature Review – some information about previous work on the subject
3. Assignment Questions – clearly set out the tasks undertaken in your assignment (using clear headings (Project Objectives, Project Definition, etc.)
3.1 Project Objectives: Clearly outline the objective(s) of the project.
3.2 Project Definition: Describe specifically how this project meets the definition of a project used in this course.
3.3 How is it unique? What were the time constraints? If it is over, how did you know it was over? (the project was over January 2017).
3.4 What was your role? (project manager), Explain your role(s).
3.5 What were the functions of the project manager?
3.6 Was the project part of a larger portfolio or program of projects? Explain.
3.7 Who else was involved and what were their roles?
(Project Sponsor which is the government, senior management, project management office, project team, assistant project manager, functional managers of the departments, employees and contractors).
3.8 What was the budget and how was it decided? 15 million AED, (6 million for Civil construction and 8 million for cleanroom design and building).
3.9 What risks did you anticipate at the project outset? Clearly identify any outside forces that caused a change in either the objectives or the approach to achieving those objectives and how such outside forces were dealt with.
(no proper planning, change in the design, delay in giving the requirements from different teams, extra budget availability, conflict between the contractors, delay in getting management approvals, miscommunication, delay in schedule over 1 year, extra budget requirement due to variations, extra load requirement for the building).
