Overview:
For this assignment, you will identify the five most important functions to be performed
during the acute phase of crisis management and discuss the key contextual issues that
can confound a crisis response – crisis type; leadership quality; ability to improvise;
capacity to determine when to act.
Instructions:
• Pick a crisis of your choice and create a RACI Chart for this crisis (RACI=
Responsible, Accountable, Consulted Informed). Consider establishing and
adapting response structure; gathering and assessing information; facilitating
communications; managing networks; providing meaning to events; and decide
under what section of the chart it will fall and which stakeholders will be tasked
with that duty/event. You may create the chart in any format file of your choosing
• Then, write a 1-page summary justifying your choices. Remember to use
scholarly sources in this essay section. A minimum of two scholarly references is
required.
Requirements:
The paper should be 2 pages (excluding the title and reference pages), double-spaced,
and formatted according to APA style. Use at least two scholarly sources, in addition to
the textbook. Be sure to cite all your references.
