Notes on Out of Class Court Observation Exercise
1. Overall purpose of assignment
This assignment is an opportunity to watch court process and procedure.The court will be the Supreme Court of Canada, and the case will be concerned with jury selection.
Be attuned to a) what you saw that relates to any of the principles or issues we have discussed, b) whether there is no relationship. Use it to take a small look into how the highest court in our land operates, how judges are dressed and speak, how the courtroom is designed, how litigants speak and are dressed, etc..
2. Submission information:
a. Date due: December 4, 2020
b. Word limit – Please write between 2-4 pages single spaced.
